Fruity Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla or rum
    2 c. pecans
    1 lb. dates
    1 c. maraschino cherries
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan and line with wax paper.
    Mix fruit and nuts together by hand.
    Sift dry ingredients and mix with fruit.
    Beat eggs with vanilla or rum flavoring; stir into other mixture.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Cool on rack in pan for 15 minutes.
    Remove.
    Cool again.
    Wrap in foil.
