Iowa Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Bisquick baking mix
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 egg
    1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    syrup
Preparation
    Heat 3-inches of oil in deep fryer to 375\u00b0.
    Stir together baking mix, water and egg until smooth.
    Stir in corn. Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain and serve hot with syrup.
