Surprise Meringues - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites, room temperature
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
candied cherries, quartered
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until very frothy.
Gradually add sugar and vanilla.
Beat until solid peaks form and sugar is dissolved.
Fold in pecans and chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Top with quartered cherries.
Place in preheated oven.
After 30 seconds, turn off oven and leave until morning or at least 5 hours.
