1 c. (5 oz.) evaporated milk, divided
1 (2 layer size) pkg. German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1/2 c. (1 stick) Parkay margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts, divided
1 c. Baker's semi-sweet real chocolate chips, divided
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of milk in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Set aside.
