The Duchess Of Windsor'S Popovers - cooking recipe

1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. melted butter
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0. Mix and sift flour and salt; add milk gradually. Mix until batter is smooth. Add eggs. Add melted butter. Beat mixture for 2 minutes with rotary beater. Grease muffin tins and place in hot oven until hot. Remove tins from oven and pour batter into tins, filling 2/3 full. Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 20 minutes longer, until brown and popped up! Do not open oven door during baking. Yield:
8 muffins. This recipe can be doubled.
