Old-Fashioned Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 pinch baking soda
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter, soft
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Blend all ingredients well, reserving milk for last.
    Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes, lowering oven temperature to 300\u00b0 for another 30 minutes.
