New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    3 medium onions
    3 big potatoes
    dash of Tabasco sauce
    5 cans minced clams
    2 qt. milk
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    cornstarch, mixed with water to thicken
Preparation
    Simmer gently the butter, onions and cut up potatoes.
    When tender, add clams and milk.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
    Bring everything to a boil and thicken slightly with cornstarch mixture.
    This is one of our traditional foods on Christmas Eve.
