Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2/3 c. Crisco
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sweet milk
    5 eggs
    1 1/4 c. coconut
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond
Preparation
    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add milk, a little at a time, then the flavoring.
    Add the coconut last.
    Grease and flour tube pan ahead of time.
    Pour batter into tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Turn out cake, cool a few minutes and punch holes in top of cake.
    Pour on glaze (add the glaze to hot cake).
    Punch holes in cake with toothpick.
