Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    3 large eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped gumdrops
Preparation
    Beat Crisco and sugar for 5 to 7 minutes. Add eggs gradually. Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves. Mix alternately with applesauce. Beat at low speed; add raisins, nuts and gumdrops. To prevent gumdrops from settling to bottom of batter, take 1/2 cup flour (from the original 3 cups flour) and mix gumdrops until cut edges are coated.
