Great Grandmother Austin'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Pour water over shortening.
Add brown sugar, molasses, egg and other remaining ingredients.
Beat until smooth.
Pour into loaf pan, greased.\tBake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
