Dried Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. butter
1 c. cooked dried apples
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. flour
1 c. black walnuts
1 box raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
other spices to taste (optional)

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add cooked dried apples, buttermilk, soda, baking powder, salt, eggs, cinnamon and flour to creamed mixture and mix together well.
Stir raisins and black walnuts into mixture.
Pour into tube pan and bake 1 hour in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven.
Cake can be baked in layers and stacked with icing.
