Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. onion, sliced thin
    1/2 c. bread cubes
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 c. canned tomatoes
Preparation
    Precook onion for 5 minutes; drain.
    Saute bread cubes in shortening until brown.
    Add seasoning and sugar to onion; mix with tomatoes.
    Pour into a greased casserole dish; top with bread cubes.
    Bake, uncovered, in a preheated oven for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
