Chocolate-Glazed Oatmeal Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 c. quick oats (uncooked)
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    In a small bowl, combine flour, oats and salt; set aside.
    In a large bowl combine butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
    Beat until creamy.
    Gradually blend in flour mixture.
    Roll into balls or shape into 2-inch logs using 1 teaspoon dough for each.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Let cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely.
    Dip ends of cookies into Chocolate Glaze then roll in colored sugar or chopped nuts.
