Gramp'S Farm Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. Jacob's Cattle beans or Soldier Boy
    2 1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. molasses
Preparation
    Pick over and wash beans.
    Put in bowl and cover with water an inch or two above beans.
    Soak overnight.
    In the morning, drain and put in bean pot.
    Boil one cup of water and stir in salt, sugar and molasses.
    Pour over beans and add enough boiling water to cover them.
    Cover bean pot and bake in 250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 oven all day.
    From time to time, while baking, check water level and keep beans just covered with water.
    If baking 4 cups of beans, use one tablespoon salt.
    (No fat.)
