Ingredients

1 lb. lightly salted soft butter
3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 c. chopped walnuts (pea size)
1 tsp. vanilla
3 to 4 c. flour
powdered sugar
Preparation

In mixer, beat butter until almost white (approximately 6 to 7 minutes).
Add sugar, egg yolks and vanilla; mix well.
Add walnuts.
Sift in flour and mix by hand until batter is similar to pie crust.
Make crescent shape from about 1 tablespoon dough mounded.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned; check after 15 minutes, then often as they brown fast after that.
While still hot, sift powdered sugar over them.
