Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lemon
1 c. sugar
butter (the size of an egg)
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation

Be sure to put together
in
the
order
named.
Take 1 large, juicy lemon and squeeze
out all the juice.
Place in a separate bowl the sugar
and
butter.
In separate pan stir in cornstarch and just enough
water to make it smooth, then stir this into a cup of boiling water.
Bring it to a boil and then pour it on the butter
and sugar.\tStir in the lemon juice and when a little cooler, stir
in
the
beaten yolks of two eggs. Pour this into crust
which
should
stand
ready.
Bake until thick, but not until it wheys.
Top with beaten egg whites and powdered sugar. Brown in oven.
