Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. chopped fresh cranberries
    1 bunch broccoli flowerets
    4 c. shredded red cabbage
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 small onion, minced
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Put cranberries in a small bowl with 1/3 cup sugar.
    Stir and set aside.
    Mix broccoli, cabbage, walnuts, raisins, onion and bacon.
    Add the cranberries.
    Mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar. Spread dressing over the salad.
    Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
    When ready to serve, mix the dressing into the salad.
