Beef Pie Mexicali - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt, divided
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. drained canned mild green chili peppers, cut or green pepper
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 c. skim milk
    3 eggs
    3 oz. Cheddar or Jack cheese, shredded
    1 1/2 c. tomato and lettuce
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion seasonings and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Spray 10 x 10-inch dish.
    Spread meat mixture on bottom.
    Top with chili peppers and set aside.
    In mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt with pastry blender.
    Cut in margarine.
    Add milk, eggs, beat until batter is smooth; pour over meat.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bake until brown 3 to 5 minutes.
    Serve with tomato and lettuce.
    Serves 6.
