Coq Au "Beer" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut up
    1 large onion
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    salt, pepper and paprika to taste
    1 can beer
    cooked rice
Preparation
    Brown chicken in skillet over medium heat in a small amount of oil.
    After turning once, add the onion that has been sliced thin.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic.
    When brown, add the beer; cover and reduce heat to low.
    Simmer about one-half hour.
    Serve with rice.
