Butter Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 c. sifted cake or all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff; add egg yolks to whites, one at a time, beating continuously, then add vanilla.
Add dry ingredients to egg mixture.
Stir until flour is absorbed.
Heat milk to boiling point; add butter and let melt.
Add milk and butter mixture all at once to batter; continue mixing until well blended. Pour into 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
