Flour Tortillas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 c. hot water
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in water and mix well. Knead dough until very elastic, about 10 minutes.
Divide dough into balls the size of small eggs.
Roll out each ball with a rolling pin into a very thin circle, about 7 or 8 inches in diameter, turning dough and rolling on both sides.
Cook or use as you would any flour tortilla.
Makes 16 to 20.
