Mom'S Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. Water
    1 Tbsp. Salt
    1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
    1 tsp. Thyme
    1 tsp. Pepper
    1 c. Celery, cut fine
    1 c. shredded Carrot
    1 c. Green Peppers, cut into small pieces
    1 small Onion, cut fine
    1 can Whole Tomatoes cut into small pieces
    1 tsp. Sugar
    1 small can Tomato Sauce
    1 c. thin Spaghetti, cut into pieces
    1 small can of Peas (optional)
    2 Hamburg Patties, browned, broken into pieces (optional)
    1 tsp. Sugar
Preparation
    In a large pan put the Water, Salt, Vegetable Oil, Thyme and Pepper bringing to a boil.
    Add the Celery and Carrots; let boil for 5 minutes.
    Add the Green Pepper, Onion, Whole Tomatoes cut up, Sugar and Tomato Sauce; let boil 5 more minutes.
    Then add Spaghetti.
    Add the two or either one of the two optional ingredients.
    It is delicious and gives you a whole meal in one pan.
