Pecan Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheese
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. butter
    dash of red pepper
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pecans, chopped (to taste)
Preparation
    Mix cheese and soften well. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in cereal.
    Chill 2 hours.
    Shape into balls 1-inch in diameter and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with thumb to 1/2-inch thick.
    If using, pecan halves, place half on flattened ball.
    If using chopped pecans, stir in mixture before chilling. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Makes 6 1/2 dozen.
