Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, sliced
    1 onion, sliced
    1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 stick butter
    salt and pepper as desired
    cheese as desired (for top)
Preparation
    Layer potatoes, onion, butter, salt and pepper in casserole dish.
    Add milk.
    Cover with foil and poke a few holes in it. Bake at 350\u00b0 until potatoes are tender.
    Add cheese when done and melt, if desired.
