Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. yellow squash, sliced thin
    2 onions, sliced
    2 bell peppers, cut in strips
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Place vegetables in a large container. Sprinkle with salt and let stand for 1 hour. Drain, but do not wash. Bring vinegar, sugar and seeds to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Add vegetables. Bring to a hard boil and pack in jars.
