Fruit Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Put first 4 ingredients in cold frypan.
    Cook about 10 minutes over medium heat.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir into it vanilla, 2 cups Rice Krispies and 1 cup chopped nuts.
    Dip teaspoon in ice water, then drop by teaspoonfuls into flaked coconut.
    Roll to coat evenly.
    Chill before serving.
    Makes about 35 (1 1/2-inch) balls.
