Creole Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream together the sugar, oil and vanilla.
    Beat in the eggs. Sift together the flour, cocoa and salt; add alternately with the buttermilk to the sugar mixture.
    Mix soda with the water; add to mixture last.
    Bake in flat pan for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
