Waldorf Astoria Red Cake And Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream first 2 ingredients well.
Add next 3 ingredients.
Sift together next 3 ingredients.
Add alternately with buttermilk.
Mix together last 2 ingredients; stir in last.
Do not beat.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
