American Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round ground beef
    2 c. sliced onions
    1 1/2 c. sliced celery
    1 can bean sprouts
    1 can water chestnuts, drained (optional)
    1 can pineapple chunks
    salt and pepper
    garlic salt
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1/8 tsp. ginger
    cornstarch
Preparation
    Cook onions and celery in a small amount of oil.
    Add beef. Simmer until beef is nearly done.
    Add seasonings, salt, pepper, garlic salt, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon molasses, oil from beef, celery, onions and 1/8 teaspoon ginger.
    Add water from bean sprouts, chestnuts and pineapple chunks.
    Thicken with cornstarch.
    Add bean sprouts last.
    Serve with Chinese noodles on cooked rice.
