Pecan Topped Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    6 (1 3/8 oz.) milk chocolate bars or 1 1/4 c. milk chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In deep narrow saucepan, melt butter and sugar; boil to 300\u00b0, hard candy stage.
    Stir constantly.
    Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Layer chocolate over hot candy; spread evenly when melted.
    Sprinkle with pecans; press lightly.
    Refrigerate 1 hour (no longer).
    Turn out and break into pieces.
