Bread And Butter Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 to 12 slices white bread
4 to 6 oz. softened butter
juice and rind of 1 orange
4 oz. raisins
3 eggs
1 pt. milk
3 oz. caster sugar
cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation

Remove the crusts and butter the bread. Grease a baking dish and line the base and sides with slices of the bread. Sprinkle with the orange juice and rind. Add half the sultanas, another layer of bread, the rest of the sultanas and then more bread (if you have any left).
Beat eggs well in a bowl. Add milk and sugar and pour into the baking dish.
Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Bake in preheated oven at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until set and browning nicely.
