Ingredients

1 gal. persimmons
1 qt. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. soda
3/4 lb. butter
1 1/4 lb. sugar
8 eggs
1 large sweet potato, grated
1 1/2 lb. flour
1 Tbsp. cloves
1 Tbsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Work together persimmons, buttermilk and soda.
Run through colander and add butter mixed with sugar, eggs and potato.
Add flour and spices and mix.
Bake in thin layers at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Stack while hot and serve with cream.
