Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, washed, drained and chopped
    1 head cauliflower, washed, drained and chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    In a large glass bowl, layer ingredients in order as follows: lettuce, cauliflower, onion, bacon and cheese.
    Ice the salad with mayonnaise, sealing the edges carefully.
    Sprinkle sugar over the top.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Mix well before serving. Yields 10 to 12 servings.
