Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour, sifted
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) milk chocolate
1 c. salted peanuts, chopped

Preparation

Cream butter or margarine.
Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla and then add sifted flour; mix well. Spread thinly on a greased 12 x 18-inch cookie sheet (with sides). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 or 20 minutes.
