Shipwreck Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. sliced onion
    3 c. diced potatoes
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. diced celery
    2 c. kidney beans, cooked (or canned)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Melt shortening in heavy pan.
    Arrange in the following order: onion, potatoes, ground beef, rice, celery and beans.
    Combine seasonings in liquids and pour over stew.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
