Ingredients

2 c. Quaker oats
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
strawberry or raspberry preserves
Preparation

Combine all dry ingredients (except jam) in a large mixing bowl.
Beat at low speed until mixture is crumbly.
Reserve 2 cups of mixture.
Press remaining mixture in bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Spread preserves evenly on crumb base.
Sprinkle remaining mixture over jam.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
