Pineapple Pie - cooking recipe

1 large can crushed pineapple
1/2 can water
3 Tbsp. flour
2/3 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
pastry for double crust pie
Preparation

Combine all ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup pineapple, in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
Cool. Add reserved pineapple.
Pour into pie crust. Cover with top crust.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 30 minutes.
Cool completely before slicing.
