Special Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Spry or Swift'ning
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 3/4 tsp. soda
2/3 c. cocoa
2/3 c. water

Preparation

Place ingredients in mixing bowl and beat vigorously by hand or mixer (medium speed) for 2 minutes.
Add 1/3 cup water and 3 large eggs.
Beat 2 more minutes.
Bake in moderate oven until cake tests done.
Makes 3 layers.
