Syd'S Vegetarian (Low Gas) Bean Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pinto or white navy beans
    6 oz. can tomato paste
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1/2 c. molasses
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. ground ginger or chopped fresh ginger
    4 Tbsp. Bronner's vegetable bouillon (optional)
Preparation
    Pour beans into boiling water and boil for 3 minutes.
    Then soak for 2 hours in the same water.
    Drain and rinse beans.
    (This process allows the sugars that cause gas to leach out through the softened shell.)
