Apple-Spice Oatmeal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    water
    1 (6 oz.) can apple juice, thawed
    3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. old-fashioned oats
    1 (8 oz.) carton apple-cinnamon-flavored yogurt
    chopped apple (optional)
Preparation
    Add enough water to apple juice to make 5 cups.
    Combine with brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a large pan.
    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
    Gradually stir in oats.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
    Reduce heat to simmer; cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until tender and a good consistency.
    Serve with a dollop of yogurt and apple, if you wish.
    Makes 4 servings.
