Indian Corn Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine ingredients; stir into a thick batter. Grease a heavy skillet. Drop batter in a hot skillet, divided into 4 pones. Brown to golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with butter.
