Orange Marmalade Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 c. orange marmalade
    4 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt together.
    Cream the shortening.
    Add egg and mix well. Add molasses and marmalade and beat thoroughly.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and hot water alternately in small amounts, beating well after each addition.
    Pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
