Icebox Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla wafers
    1 can evaporated milk, chilled
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. pineapple juice
    2 egg whites
    1 pkg. cherry jello
    sugar
Preparation
    Line bottom of 3 pie pans with crushed vanilla wafers.
    Stand remaining wafers around sides of pan.
    Mix together in saucepan the sugar, pineapple juice and egg whites; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from stove; add the jello.
    Whip the evaporated milk; sweeten to taste.
    Add to the jello mixture and mix thoroughly.
    Let stand in the refrigerator until firm.
