Pumpkin Bread(Yields 9 X 5 X 3 Loaf) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, well beaten
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. corn oil*
1 (No. 2) can pumpkin (2 c.)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans or 1 c. white raisins (if desired or 1/2 c. each)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream sugar and oil* well.
Add eggs and beat vigorously.
Add pumpkin and stir.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to first mixture, stirring well after each addition.
May add nuts or raisins, if desired.
Fresh pumpkin may be substituted for canned.
Put in greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or two smaller pans.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Let cool in pan.
