Ingredients

1 c. regular white rice
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine rice, water and salt in a 3-quart kettle.
Bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low heat for 14 minutes.
Add milk, sugar and butter.
Boil on medium heat for 20 minutes until thickened, stirring often.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into serving dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Delicious warm or cold.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
