Granny Smith Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. Granny Smith apples, cut into small pieces (usually 3 apples)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. cider vinegar
    8 oz. crushed pineapple (save juice)
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. salted ground peanuts
    2 c. mini marshmallows (optional)
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, egg and vinegar together. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick.
    Refrigerate mixture. When cool, add pineapple and apples.
    Fold in Cool Whip and 3/4 cup peanuts.
    Put into serving bowl.
    Top with remaining peanuts. Chill before serving.
