Cornbread For Two - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl; add egg, milk and 1 tablespoon melted shortening.
    Mix together until smooth.
    Pour into hot iron skillet containing the other 1 tablespoon shortening.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
