Sweet And Sour Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops, fat trimmed
    shortening
    salt and pepper to taste
    8 1/4 oz. pineapple chunks
    1/3 c. Heinz 57 sauce
    1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
Preparation
    Brown pork chops in shortening; drain fat.
    Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
    Over low heat, combine pineapple with juice and Heinz 57 sauce.
    Pour over pork chops.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes over low heat or until chops are tender.
    Add green pepper strips and cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes more.
    Thicken sauce, if desired.
    Serves 4.
