Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
5 c. pecans
2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 Tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Toast pecans in a 200\u00b0 oven until warm.
Set aside.
Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 240\u00b0, then add pecans.
Cook to 295\u00b0, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and stir until dissolved.
Add soda and salt; stir vigorously.
Pour out in butter greased pans.
Spread as thinly as possible.
Break into pieces when cooled.
