Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    sugar
    and
    shortening.\tAdd
    one egg at a time, mixing well
    after each.\tSift all dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add
    vanilla.
    Bake
    in tube pan at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour or until just done.\tCheck with toothpick.
    Cool on rack.
